Job Description

A high-volume medical center in Tennessee is seeking a talented Orthopedic Surgeon for a locum tenens assignment. The hospital supports a busy orthopedic department, handling a mix of trauma, joint replacement, and elective surgeries. This Level I Trauma Center is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a wide range of orthopedic surgeries, including trauma, sports injuries, and joint replacements.
  • Manage both inpatient and outpatient cases, working closely with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide follow-up care, including consultations and post-surgical evaluations.
  • Participate in a rotating call schedule to handle emergency orthopedic cases.

Program Details:

  • Annual Patient Volume: 70,000 patients per year.
  • Shift Options: Flexible scheduling with 8-12 hour shifts available.
  • EMR System: Epic.
  • Scribe Coverage: Available to assist with documentation.
  • Travel & Housing: Comprehensive travel and lodging provided for the duration of the assignment.
  • Licensing & Credentialing: Full support, including malpractice insurance.
