Job Description
A large healthcare facility in Florida is seeking a qualified Emergency Medicine Physician to fill a locum tenens role. This Level II Trauma Center provides care for a wide variety of cases, seeing an average of 2.5–3 patients per hour. You will work in a fast-paced, dynamic emergency department, offering care to a diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emergency care to patients with a wide range of acute conditions, from minor injuries to life-threatening trauma.
- Stabilize and manage trauma patients in collaboration with the surgical team.
- Work closely with Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs) to ensure efficient patient flow.
- Ensure timely documentation with the help of a scribe.
Program Details:
- Annual Patient Volume: 55,000 patients per year.
- Patients Per Hour: 2.5–3 PPH.
- Shift Options: 6a-3p, 9a-6p, 12p-9p, 3p-12a, 5p-2a, 10p-7a.
- APC Coverage: 7a-7p, 11a-11p, 7p-7a.
- Scribe Coverage: Yes, allowing physicians to focus on patient care.
- EMR System: Medictech.
- Housing & Travel: Fully covered during the assignment.
