Job Description
A large healthcare facility in Florida is seeking a qualified Emergency Medicine Physician to fill a locum tenens role. This Level II Trauma Center provides care for a wide variety of cases, seeing an average of 2.5–3 patients per hour. You will work in a fast-paced, dynamic emergency department, offering care to a diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities/Job Description:
- Provide rapid assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of acute illnesses and traumatic injuries in the emergency department
- Perform emergency procedures including airway management, resuscitation, and trauma stabilization
- Interpret diagnostic tests such as labs, EKGs, and imaging to guide urgent clinical decisions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and effective patient care
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
