Job Description
A large healthcare facility in Tennessee is seeking a skilled Emergency Medicine Physician to join their team on a locum tenens basis. As part of a busy emergency department, you will treat a wide variety of cases, from minor injuries to life-threatening trauma, in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities/Job Description:
- Provide rapid assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of acute illnesses and traumatic injuries in the emergency department
- Perform emergency procedures including airway management, resuscitation, and trauma stabilization
- Interpret diagnostic tests such as labs, EKGs, and imaging to guide urgent clinical decisions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and effective patient care
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
